Everyone loves a good chick flick, right? Let’s put the emphasis on good.
This movie starts off with a young girl unable to leave the constraints of her home due a rare disease. However, the minute a boy next door shows up everything changes.
Let me start off by saying I am a romantic comedy connoisseur and it is very hard to displease me when there is a love story in play. With that being said, this movie is unbearably awkward. I guess it is to be expected when portraying young love, but this movie has tension so thick a knife couldn’t cut it. The plot was unbelievable, which is to be expected with this type of film, but the love story was even more unrealistic which made the movie more quirky than romantic.
Moral of the story, if you are under the age of 13 take your girl gang or future boyfriend to go see this. If you are above the age of 14, do yourself a favor and watch something on Netflix instead.
Pairs well with… a large popcorn (because something will need to keep you entertained throughout this flick)
